At Aurevaa, every marble inlay piece is cut and set by hand to honor that legacy, a way of keeping a centuries-old tradition alive, one piece at a time.

Kansa, a bronze alloy of copper and tin, has shaped India's tableware for thousands of years, prized in Ayurveda for the way it interacts with food and drink. Casting it takes a practiced ear as much as a practiced hand, a true kansa piece holds a clear, resonant ring that mass-forged metal never quite matches.

Every Aurevaa kansa piece is hand-cast and hand-finished, so no two pieces catch the light in quite the same way.

Long before machine tooling, brass was worked the way small workshops still shape it today: heated, hammered, and formed by hand until the metal holds its shape. Engraving is done freehand, piece by piece, which is why the same motif never looks quite identical twice.

Aurevaa's brass is lead-free and lacquer-free by design, left to develop its own soft patina over years of everyday use rather than sealed under a synthetic shine.

Mother-of-pearl inlay is cut piece by piece from shell, shaped to fit a hand-carved recess, and set by hand so its natural shimmer catches light differently from every angle. No two shells are identical, so no two inlaid pieces are either.

It's a technique that rewards patience over speed, a quiet shimmer against dark wood or brass that no printed finish can fully imitate.
